After trading ideas and emails, and even road-tripping to southeastern Virginia for a powwow, we decided to make a documentary about historical reenactors for our American Studies senior thesis at Georgetown University.

Since October, we have explored how hobbyists and professional reenactors use the past in their day-to-day lives. 

​

We are grateful to our professors and mentors who have guided us in this process, our Amstud classmates for their enthusiasm, and the reenactors who have been willing to share their stories, motivations, and views about their pastime.
